The end of April saw the end of the stage of public consultations on the bill amending the Construction Law. The changes concern, among others, the introduction to the act of principles for the functioning of the e-Building platform, through which it is possible to submit, for example, an application for a construction permit.
The most important provisions of the bill provide for the possibility to maintain a construction logbook and a building logbook in electronic form. The Construction Law also plans to introduce provisions creating and regulating the functioning of the e-Building portal. The platform will be used for electronic submission of, among others, applications and notifications.
In addition, it is planned to create central registers maintained by a teleinformatic system. The registers will include persons holding building qualifications (so-called e-CRUBs) as well as persons punished due to professional liability. This solution is to replace the existing complicated procedures regulating the keeping of the above-mentioned registers and lead to the acceleration of the process of making entries.
The aforementioned changes constitute another stage of digitalization of the investment and construction process, thanks to which entitled persons will be able to perform certain activities in an electronic form. According to the information published on the Ministry’s website, the new regulations may enter into force this year.
