Bio
For over a dozen years, he has led a 50-member team consisting of lawyers, legal counsels, and attorneys-at-law. The transactions he coordinates have been recognized with awards in numerous Polish and international legal rankings, including those by Rzeczpospolita, Legal500, and Chambers. He specializes in corporate law, commercial law, IT law, and international law.
Experience
Michał has negotiated agreements for the implementation of an IT product in 16 banks of a global banking group for which the Law Firm received the Outstanding Legal Skill in Handling a Transaction award from the Rzeczpospolita daily.
Rzeczpospolita also recognized the Law Firm for another transaction Michał has supervised, which involved foreign investors and jurisdictions (Luxembourg, Switzerland, the USA, Israel, United Arab Emirates, and EU Member States).
Thanks to extensive experience in terms of handling transactions on the capital market, including but not limited to cross-border M&As of IT companies from all over the world, he successfully provides services to venture capital funds that every year close several investment transactions. Michał also specializes in designing capital structures, handling corporate governance, and acquiring private financing.
The team he manages implements innovative technologies on the market—e.g., they were responsible for one of first integrations of a Polish product with Google Assistant and commercialized an IT product in the USA and in Western Europe. He utilizes his knowledge to provide support to clients whose business partners often include unicorns.
Even before GDPR came into effect, he coordinated several dozen projects consisting in ensuring compliance with the Regulation for enterprises operating in the IT, insurance, finance, gambling, and property development sectors.
He is the author of a number of articles, including the one on trends and directions of the development of the TMT sector in Poland, which was published in Chambers Practice Guide.
