Between October and December 2020, the lawyers from our Law Firm carried out a large project for the international Hitachi ABB Power Grids Group. The purpose of the project was to prepare and verify the processing of data in all companies belonging to the Group in accordance with the GDPR.
Hitachi ABB Power Grids is a global technological pioneer. The Group offers products, systems, servicing, and software for the entire electrical energy supply chain. The Group helps to satisfy the growing demand for electrical energy, at the same time reducing the environmental impact.
Considering the international scale of the project, our Law Firm had to be flexible in planning tasks and ensuring full availability in non-standard working hours. The Group’s employees were located in most of the time zones, so contacting all of them was a real challenge for our team. On the part of our Law Firm, over a dozen lawyers were involved.
Most of the work was done in English, but some of the services and consulting were provided in German, French, Spanish, and Russian. It was a truly international challenge.
As requested by the Hitachi ABB Power Grids Group, our Law Firm worked using a dedicated technological solution, which required our lawyers to learn its assumptions and functionalities in an extremely short time.
Due to the extent of the project, it was planned to take a year. However, thanks to our determination and efficiency, we were able to complete it in three months, which is a record for us.
