What do investment funds, early-stage startups, business angels, and our experts have in common? Alpha Wolves Summit! This is a two-day conference that helps Series A-E investors and investees achieve a common goal. To make their chosen business project a success on the international stage.
Several speakers with impressive knowledge and experience will assist in achieving this goal. Among them is our expert on corporate law and Venture Capital funds, Paulina Opiełka.
On 07 April at 9.40, Paulina will talk about how to make an A round of investment work. During her many years of legal practice, she had the pleasure of working with both startups and investment funds. It was then that she noticed a certain biased problem with startups attracting investors for the A round (PLN 5-30 million).
For example, last year, of the PLN 3.6 billion of VC funds invested, 80% went to the top 15 target companies, while the remaining 20% dissolved in deals, the median of which was PLN 1 million on average. Of course, the reluctance of investors at such an early stage of a startup’s creation is most justified. Round A means high risk with a high rate of unpredictability. On the other hand, the reluctance of investors in this round may lead the startup to collapse.
Is it possible to prevent a business disaster and find an investor-startup compromise? For Alpha Wolves Summit Paulina Opiełka prepared solutions supported by many years of legal practice.
