Coming soon: 10th edition of the European Congress on Insolvency and Restructuring

We are proud to announce that Mariusz Purgał, advocate and restructuring advisor from our law firm, will participate in the 10th edition of the European Insolvency and Restructuring Congress 2021 organized by Deutsche Anwalt Akademie.

Our expert will represent Poland on 15 June during a lecture related to the implementation of the restructuring directive. It is a very important topic, especially because there is a constant demand to update Polish restructuring law with several important solutions facilitating court restructuring proceedings.

This year’s edition of EIRC will focus on whether and to what extent further harmonization of national insolvency law is helpful. International experts (including from France, Belgium, Germany, and Spain) together with European officials will discuss the topic using selected examples from the countries they represent. The varying laws will allow for a more holistic view of the entire topic. This event not only illuminates future developments in insolvency and restructuring law at an early stage but also provides an opportunity for broad debate with those involved in the reforms.

The meeting this year is particularly important due to the impact of the pandemic on legal changes. Among other things, European experts will discuss the dynamic legal developments in the European Union between the COVID-19 pandemic and the restructuring framework.
