KWKR projects worth remembering: legal support in Wawel S.A.’s digital transformation

As part of our rebranding, we would like to share key projects that showcase KWKR’s strength and expertise. This time, we highlight our work for Wawel S.A. – one of the most recognizable Polish confectionery brands, with over 120 years of tradition. Collaboration with this prestigious client, a leader of the Polish sweets market, reaffirmed our position in advanced IT legal advisory for manufacturing enterprises with complex operational structures.

Enterprise management system transformation – a project of strategic importance

The comprehensive legal advisory provided in connection with the implementation of a modern IT system at Wawel S.A. is an example of a complex digital transformation in a large manufacturing company. Our role was to prepare and negotiate contracts for an ERP system designed to manage the company’s key business areas, including accounting, settlements, logistics, and warehouse management.

The challenge of this project lay in its multifaceted character and strategic importance for the functioning of the entire organization. In a company of Wawel S.A.’s scale, an enterprise management IT system constitutes critical infrastructure — its proper operation directly affects all business processes, from production and warehouse management, through financial settlements, to logistics and product distribution across the Polish market.

The project’s complexity required KWKR’s team to conduct an in-depth analysis of the confectionery industry and gain a detailed understanding of the operational processes typical for large-scale manufacturing. Our lawyers had to address not only the standard legal aspects of IT contracts but also the specific requirements of integrating systems in a production environment, where business continuity is crucial to maintaining production processes.

The project’s success was made possible by our experts’ negotiation skills and ability to effectively represent the client’s interests in discussions with technology providers. The five-month timeline demanded precise time management and close coordination, while ensuring the highest standards of legal service quality.

The finalization of this cooperation, which covered a comprehensive package of implementation contracts, confirms KWKR’s ability to successfully support even the most demanding digital transformation projects in the manufacturing sector and highlights our experience in advising enterprises with complex operational structures and high business requirements.
