As 2022 begins, Łukasz Wieczorek, Attorney-at-Law, who so far has been managing the TMT team, becomes a partner at the KWKR Konieczny Wierzbicki i Partnerzy S.K.A. Law Firm.
Łukasz has been with the Law Firm for seven years now, focusing primarily on advising clients from the IT sector and foreign clients. A few years back, he started to coordinate the work of the TMT team that is responsible for cases related to new technologies, IT, and intellectual property law.
“Over the last few years, I have had the pleasure to take an active part in the development of the KWKR Law Firm. I am immensely satisfied to reach this moment where my engagement and the trust I have built translates to a change of my role in the firm. For me, it’s also a new impulse for further activity. Together with Michał and Marcin, we have a cohesive vision of the development of the Law Firm that is based on the values KWKR has worked out. We want to further build the reputation of KWKR on the market while retaining the unique atmosphere and work dynamics of our organization.”
So far, at the Law Firm, Łukasz has been involved in and managed a number of ambitious projects, including those carried out internationally. For instance, he advised on a key contract between a client of the Law Firm and Citibank concerning the implementation of the client’s application in 15 countries across Europe and Asia Pacific (for which the Law Firm received from the Rzeczpospolita daily the Outstanding Legal Skill Award in 2018). He also successfully negotiated an IT agreement between a client of the Law Firm and a Silicon Valley unicorn.
“For years, we have been observing Łukasz’s involvement in our projects. We are highly impressed by his approach to carrying out tasks and we share the vision of the Law Firm’s further development in view of the existing challenges in the legal sector,” Michał Konieczny, a Managing Partner at KWKR, says.
“We are open to cooperation. We have a clear vision of the firm’s development and we appreciate people who are able to contribute to this development. There are no glass ceilings at KWKR. Involvement, energy, and sharing KWKR values allow for achieving a lot,” Marcin Wierzbicki, a Managing Partner at KWKR, sums up.
The fact of Łukasz Wieczorek joining the partnership also means plans of further development of the TMT team, which currently comprises over a dozen lawyers. Gradually increasing the number of team members strengthens the potential of the TMT practice, making it possible to address trends in the new technologies sector and comprehensively carry out complex projects for our clients.
