New draft amendment to the National Labour Inspectorate Act
A new draft of the National Labour Inspectorate (PIP) Act has been published, introducing significant changes to the enforcement of labour law in Poland. The new provisions are aimed at strengthening PIP by increasing the effectiveness of inspections and enhancing the protection of individuals performing paid work. Among the key proposals are the possibility of converting civil law contracts into employment contracts through an administrative decision, granting inspectors access to ZUS and KAS data, the introduction of remote inspections, and doubling the maximum financial penalties for offences against employee rights.

Reform of the National Labour Inspectorate – what it means in practice
For employers, the changes mean a need for careful verification of employment forms and proper organization of HR documentation and contracts. The new approach to inspections allows inspectors to respond faster and more effectively to irregularities.
Reform as an opportunity for employers
The reform also presents an opportunity for companies to improve their HR procedures, increase transparency and compliance with labor law, and foster a workplace culture based on reliability and clarity. In the long term, this can positively impact a company’s reputation and employee relations, while reducing the risk of conflicts and penalties.
These changes are part of a broader labor market reform and are expected to have a real impact on both employees and employers. Preparing your company now can help avoid problems and enhance operational security in the new regulatory environment.
