German contract negotiations with the world’s leading music company

Our lawyers reviewed and negotiated the IT Framework Agreement with the world’s leading music company. They own and operate a broad array of businesses engaged in recorded music, music publishing, merchandising, and audiovisual content in more than 60 countries. They identify and develop recording artists and songwriters, and produce, distribute and promote the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful music to delight and entertain fans around the world.

The agreement had to cover the agile methodology of parties’ cooperation. The contract provided for long-term cooperation between the parties, so we had to make sure all the essential elements are duly included in the final draft.

As the contract was concluded under German law, it was essential for the involved lawyers to analyse all important provisions in any way connected with the subject of the contract. Konieczny Wierzbicki had to perform, among others, the analysis of the German BGB and HGB regulations (the civil and commercial legal acts) to assess their impact on the client’s interests.
