A company from the Philippine entrusted our Law Firm with handling the legal aspects of its interests. The company, with several hundred employees and leading projects on international markets (USA), is a regular client of our Law Firm, using various legal services since the beginnings of our presence on the market. The company is a globally recognized manufacturer of software and mobile applications. It successfully operates in the Polish FinTech sector, carrying out projects for the largest companies from the telecommunications, insurance, finance, and e-commerce sectors.
Our client recently concluded a very important agreement with Paymaya Philippines Inc. We drafted and negotiated the Master Service Agreement. That required analysing every aspect of potential cooperation between the parties from different jurisdictions.
The client requested that the contract be concluded under Polish law, which was not desired by the Asian counterparty. Because of our experience in negotiations with international entities (many of whom come from Asia – mainly Singapore, Phillipines, Malaysia), we managed to meet client’s expectations. Before closing the deal, the issue of data protection had to be thoroughly studied because of the Philippine banking and financial regulations.
