Significant assistance from KWKR: investment realized in UNESCO area

Soon, thanks to the help of KWKR, a new apartment building will be constructed in Krakow’s Old Town. The residence consists of a historic tenement house and a new residential wing. Therefore, it is a compromise between tradition and modernity. Ultimately, it will fit into the assumptions of sustainable development of the city and respond to the needs of Kraków’s residents.

The project is being carried out in cooperation with our long-term client, who invests in ideas that change the space around us for the better. Our specialists accompanied the originators of the investment from the very beginning. They participated in the creation of the investment process strategy and represented the buyer in negotiations with numerous property owners.

The property is located in an area with centuries of turbulent history. Therefore it became extremely important – and at the same time difficult – to complete the documentation created over many years. Preliminary agreements, powers of attorney, court decisions, administrative proceedings, reprivatization claims – the collection of this information was crucial for the decision to invest in the property.

Compliance with the formalities is one of the most important tasks that fall within the Law Firm’s responsibilities. Sometimes it requires a huge amount of work from our lawyers and reaching for pre-war documents. This work is not visible and does not count towards the final value of the transaction. However, the result certainly demonstrates the importance of our efforts.
