The Konieczny Wierzbicki Law Firm extends the scope of its services with new areas of specialization and expands its team in Warsaw. We’re developing!

We are happy to welcome aboard a six-person team of lawyers headed by Monika Macura, attorney-at-law. This means that we have reinforced our TMT (technology, media, telecommunications) and fintech competences and expanded the scope of our services to include new areas of specialization: lendtech, banking law, payment institutions, and lending institutions. Furthermore, we will have more presence in Warsaw, where the new team is located.

We are positive that this will improve the dynamics of our development on the Warsaw market and our Clients will have access to a wider range of legal services, including those offered directly in Warsaw.

Until recently, the areas of specialization of the Konieczny Wierzbicki Law Firm included IT and new technologies, private equity and M&A projects; real property and the related investment processes; compliance and personal data protection; cross-border business; bankruptcies and restructuring; and taxes. The Law Firm’s team had 35 members. We have offices in Kraków and Warsaw. The Law Firm’s competences have been recognized a number of rankings, including in the international Legal 500 ranking of law firms (in 2021, in the TMT and Data Privacy categories, and in 2020, in the TMT category) and in the TOP 5 Biggest Firms in the Małopolska Region (organized by the Rzeczpospolita daily). We were also named a leader in real property law (Rzeczpospolita, 2019), recommended in TMT (Rzeczpospolita, 2019), and awarded for outstanding legal skills in handling a transaction (Rzeczpospolita, 2018).

Our new areas of specialization are lendtech, banking law, and the law of payment and lending institutions. The team has now expanded to include experienced experts in these areas: Monika Macura, Michał Barwicki, Anna Jędrasiak, Henryka Stachowiak, Małgorzata Sałuda, and Klaudia Palikot. As a result, our team is now more than 40 people strong.

Within the new areas of specialization, our lawyers represent supervised institutions in proceedings before the Polish Financial Supervision Authority and the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, provide comprehensive services to e-commerce businesses, and advise dynamically developing lending institutions on legal matters.

Monika Macura, who heads the new team, is an outstanding expert in FinTech, payment services, and banking. For more than ten years, she has been providing comprehensive legal services to lending and payment institutions, as well as banks. She has carried out a number of projects where she worked with international lending and payment institutions. Additionally, she hosts training courses for financial institutions in terms of the GDPR and financial security measures and, as a member of the Polish Association of Lending Institutions, actively participates in the development of the FinTech sector.
