Top-quality legal service appreciated by our client

Our lawyers once again received confirmation that their actions successfully helped our client to pass through the proceedings conducted as a result of a data protection violation that had affected the client’s company.

The case was not trivial. This time we assisted our client in removing the consequences of a ransomware attack. As a consequence of the cyberattack, access to a significant amount of data necessary for daily operations was blocked. We also advised on the implementation of measures to minimize the risk of such an incident in the future. Thanks to our involvement, the client recently received a positive message from the Office of Personal Data Protection:

“Regarding the notification of a data protection breach (…) involving the blocking of access to data stored on a server, having assessed the breach in question, it should be concluded that the controller has implemented adequate security measures and countermeasures, including measures to minimize the negative effects of the breach and the risk of its recurrence”.

The above content indicates the importance of responding quickly to an emerging cyber threat. Our GDPR/Compliance team effectively helped to respond to the breach and to meet all the requirements that arise from the Client’s regulations and internal procedures. Thus, it protected the Client from negative legal consequences and took appropriate preventive measures. The team was coordinated by Michał Czuryło – our data protection specialist recommended as a Global Leader in the international ranking.

We congratulate the client on the positive outcome and thank them for putting their trust in us in such a sensitive matter.
