Bio
Karolina specialises primarily in new technology law. She provides daily advice on matters related to artificial intelligence (AI) regulations, intellectual property protection and IT law.
She holds a master’s degree in law from the Jagiellonian University and a degree in finance and accounting from the University of Economics in Krakow. In addition, she is a graduate of the legal advisor training programme in Krakow and postgraduate studies in ‘New Technology Law’ organised by the Polish Academy of Sciences.
What sets her apart from other specialists is her combination of legal, technological and business knowledge. Thanks to this, she offers advice that not only secures legal interests, but also supports the development of technological projects.
Karolina works with clients from the IT, computer games, e-sports, media, fintech and internet platform industries. She provides them with practical and strategic legal support tailored to the specific nature of digital business. Importantly, she actively participates in national and international conferences and training courses, where she discusses regulatory challenges related to new technologies and intellectual property.
Professional experience
Karolina’s experience covers new technology law, intellectual property and corporate law. In particular, she supports clients in preparing and negotiating IT agreements, including distribution agreements, contracts for online platforms and agreements for the media, gaming and fintech industries.
In addition, she specialises in intellectual property protection strategies, IP chain of title analysis and trademark issues. She also conducts IP litigation and performs intellectual property protection gap analyses.
Another important area of her practice is advising on the creation and updating of terms and conditions for websites and online platforms. In this regard, she ensures that digital activities comply with applicable laws, including EU regulations.
Karolina has experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and due diligence processes for technology companies. She has participated in domestic and international transactions and represented clients before domestic and European courts and other authorities. She has successfully supported investment processes, restructurings and cross-border transactions.
