Michał Czuryło
Bio
Michał specializes in data protection, new technologies law, intellectual property law, as well as in administrative procedures. He advises both companies from large international groups operating in Poland and abroad, as well as start-ups implementing innovative ideas.
Michał has gained over twelve years of experience both in work in a law firm and as an in-house lawyer in corporations operating on a global scale and in a Polish company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. During this time, he had the opportunity to participate in the implementation and conduct of projects resulting from the need to adapt to the legal regulations of entire organizations, assisting in building and implementing solutions to ensure the compliance of business processes with the regulations. In this regard, inter alia:
– supported in adapting to the provisions of the general regulation on data protection such entities as: a leading open pension fund, one of the largest entities organizing bookmakers, a group of companies from the IT sector, headed by an entity listed on the WSE and providing its services to entities on all over the world,
– participated in designing and building processes for handling data breaches and data transfers throughout the EMEA region for a leading investment bank in the world,
– participated in the preparation and negotiation of IT contracts for the supply of IT systems and services for entities from highly regulated markets, including the financial and insurance industries,
– prepared legal opinions on topics combining issues in the field of new technologies, data protection and international trade.
Legal advisor entered on the list at the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Kraków since 2013. A graduate of legal studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University and the School of American Law co-organized by the Colubmus School of Law The Catholic University in Washington.
Author of publications in the daily press (Rzeczpospolita, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna) and the trade press (Chambers Global Guides). He often shares his knowledge with students, start-ups and entrepreneurs during conferences or training courses.
