
KWKR Law Firm had the pleasure of supporting the Luxembourg-based investment fund Radix Ventures in its investment process in the Polish company Fresh Inset S.A., which has developed the pioneering Vidre+™ solution that extends the freshness of fruits, vegetables, and flowers. The investment was part of a Late B round worth PLN 18 million, with Radix Ventures acting as the lead investor, contributing EUR 1.5 million (approximately PLN 6 million).
As part of the services provided, KWKR offered comprehensive legal support throughout the entire investment process, including conducting due diligence, as well as drafting and negotiating the new investment agreement and the shareholders’ agreement with all parties involved in the transaction.
Fresh Inset S.A. is a Polish CleanTech innovator that has created the breakthrough Vidre+™ technology, which significantly extends the post-harvest shelf life of fruits, vegetables, and flowers. The solution has been patented in over 50 countries and is already available in markets across South America and Africa. The company has also received formal approvals to sell its products in the United States and Europe starting in 2025.
It is worth noting that since its inception, Fresh Inset, a privately held company, has raised over PLN 55 million in funding from Polish investors. The investor and coordinator of all investment rounds is Rubicon Partners.
The transaction was led by senior associate Marcin Rudzki supervised by partner Paulina Opiełka. Selected aspects of the project also involved: associate Dominik Korybalski (corporate), managing senior associate Iwona Aleksandrowicz-Strus and associate Weronika Szachniewicz (TMT), associate Anna Grzywna (real estate), as well as associates Katarzyna Kanik and Paweł Zyskowski (compliance).
