Specializations

Mikołaj specializes in contract law, focusing on the IT and IT security sectors, intellectual property law, and business law (including litigation), advising clients, both domestic and foreign, with respect to international trading. He also handles cases in terms of election law, labor law, and criminal law and has extensive experience in real property law, including recovering properties taken over without a legal basis or in violation of legal regulations.

Experience

Mikołaj has advised clients on agreements with entities from Europe, Asia, Africa, and both Americas that operated e.g. in the banking, telecommunications, gaming, hotel, and tourist sectors. In proceedings before the federal government of the United States, he successfully defended a client (a listed company) operating a VOD portal against claims of violation of intellectual property rights. On behalf of another client, he negotiated IT security agreements in connection with the development of one of the contact tracing applications supporting the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. He also participated in a complex and interdisciplinary dispute concerning a multi-million investment project concerning a highly innovative method of acquiring semiconductor substrates that could be used in optoelectronics (lasers, diodes, detectors, etc).

Mikołaj is an Attorney-at-Law and has been a member of the Kraków Bar Association of Attorneys-at-Law since 2016. He graduated in law from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University.

When he was a trainee attorney-at-law, he won the oratory contest organized by the Bar Association. He was also involved in the Constitutional Week project organized by the Professor Zbigniew Hołda Association.
