III Data Quality Forum 2025. Organic vs. Synthetic Data? Conference dedicated to data quality in research

On October 23, 2025, the 3rd Data Quality Forum took place — one of the most important industry conferences dedicated to data quality in research. The event brought together around 300 participants, both onsite and online — experts and practitioners from the Polish research sector representing more than 100 organizations. KWKR was represented by Łukasz Wieczorek, Partner at KWKR, who delivered a presentation and took part in a panel discussion.

The Data Quality Forum is an annual meeting of the research community that serves as a space for open discussion on the current challenges facing the research world. Participants collectively explore innovative solutions that can help set new standards for data quality and better respond to evolving needs.
The Forum fosters knowledge exchange, the confrontation of perspectives, and the creation of recommendations shaping the future of research processes, methods, and tools.

This year, discussions among industry leaders, representatives of research agencies, academia, technology, and regulatory sectors revolved around the theme:
“Organic or Synthetic Data?”

“Since the very first edition, we have not shied away from difficult or non-obvious topics. At every Forum, we strive to present different perspectives on the issues discussed, because I believe that only through such dialogue can we work together with participants to develop innovative solutions needed to face the challenges related to research quality.
This year, we tackled the issue of synthetic data in research — exploring under what conditions they can become a valuable complement to traditional organic data.”
Rafał Sobczak, CEO, SoftArchitect

“AI opens new possibilities — we can organize and analyze data faster. At the same time, the importance of data quality, responsibility for its verification, and interpretation is growing. No algorithm can fully grasp the meaning of cultural change if the human element is missing from the process.”
Grażyna Pol, Head of Research and Analysis Department, National Centre for Culture

“The demand for high-quality data is increasing — essential for conducting research, training AI models, and building competitive advantage. In this context, synthetic data can become a practical compliance tool, helping to reduce legal risks, protect privacy, and unlock new opportunities for B2B and B2G cooperation.”
Łukasz Wieczorek, Partner and Attorney-at-law, KWKR Konieczny Wierzbicki and Partners

“We hope that participants of the third edition of the Forum, regardless of their area of specialization, left the conference with a deeper understanding of data quality in the AI era.
It’s not only about trust in the data source but, above all, about methodological auditability and the researcher’s responsibility as a curator of data — deciding what is truly valuable.”
Grzegorz Kowalski, New Business Director, SoftArchitect

Speakers, panelists, and moderators at the Data Quality Forum stage represented 13 organizations, bringing together diverse perspectives and experiences that shaped a meaningful discussion on the future of data quality.
