Bio
Łukasz Wieczorek heads the TMT (Telecommunications/Media/Technology) department at our firm. For several years, this department has been listed in the Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500 EMEA rankings, as well as in the national legal rankings.
Specializations
He specialises in new technology (IT) law, intellectual property, unfair competition, commercial law and immigration law, working on a daily basis in an international environment. In particular, he advises foreign clients investing in Poland and entities conducting business outside Poland. In his day-to-day work, he is actively involved in artificial intelligence (AI) law and the legal aspects of cybersecurity (NIS2).
At the Law Firm, he coordinates the International Desk with respect to the above legal areas.
Experience in selected specializations
Łukasz has extensive experience in matters related to the IT sector. He took part in tens of projects, drafting and negotiating IT agreements (including with respect to agile methodologies and the SaaS model) with business partners from the USA, Europe, and Asia that operate in the banking, finance, insurance, gambling, hotel, and music sectors.
He was involved in the works on a contract between a Law Firm’s client and Citibank that concerned the implementation of the client’s application in 16 countries in Europe and Asia-Pacific (for which the Law Firm received the Outstanding Legal Skill in Handling a Transaction award from the Rzeczpospolita daily in 2018). He also successfully negotiated an IT agreement between a Law Firm’s client and a Silicon Valley unicorn.
Professional qualifications and licenses
Łukasz is an Attorney-at-Law and has been a member of the Kraków Bar Association of Attorneys-at-Law since 2014. He graduated in law from and completed doctoral studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University. He is preparing a doctoral thesis at the Department of Business and Trade Law of the said Faculty.
He is a certified IP Scan (intellectual property diagnostic) service provider for micro, small and mid-sized entrepreneurs.
His master’s degree thesis won second prize in the contest for the best thesis in the area of trade law in the 2009/2010 academic year that was organized by the Wolters Kluwer Polska publishing house and the editorial team of the Przegląd Prawa Handlowego monthly.

Łukasz has published a number of articles in legal press (Przegląd Prawa Handlowego, Rejent), daily press (Rzeczpospolita, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna), and specialist press (Chambers Global Guides, Industrial Monitor). He also speaks at conferences, seminars, and webinars organized e.g. by the British-Polish Chamber of Commerce, the Małopolska Region Development Agency, Gigacon, Pureconferences, and Blue Business Media (Corporate Legal Counsel Forum 2020).
