KWKR among the most active law firms in Central and Eastern Europe according to PitchBook Global League Tables 2025
KWKR has been ranked as one of the most active law firms in Central and Eastern Europe in the category ‘Law firms: VC deals’ in the latest PitchBook Global League Tables 2025.
PitchBook Global League Tables is part of PitchBook’s annual awards programme, showcasing the most active institutional investors, advisers and service providers in the transaction market. The rankings are based on a uniform, transparent methodology covering, among other things, geographies, transaction types and sectors.
PitchBook is a leading global platform providing data on private capital markets, used by over 100,000 investment and transaction professionals.
Selected transactions from 2025 included by PitchBook
Based on data from KWKR’s profile on PitchBook, the law firm was listed in 12 transactions in which it acted as legal advisor. Transactions closed in 2025 played a special role in the 2025 Ranking.
Addepto
KWKR advised on the comprehensive preparation and execution of a transaction involving Addepto, a Polish technology company specialising in AI.
The transaction was conducted in accordance with US law and involved the sale of a spun-off AI business to MKS Technology (Sunstone Partners). KWKR was responsible, among other things, for:
- the structure of the transaction,
- negotiating share purchase documentation in accordance with US law,
- coordinating the closing.
This was a strategic exit for Grape Up, and the project required reconciling US transaction standards with the realities of the Polish technology group’s operations.
BidFinance
KWKR represented the company, its founders and existing shareholders in negotiations of the investment agreement and organisation of the closing.
The transaction included:
- partial exit of the investor,
- conversion of financing from convertible loans to shares,
- contribution of new capital.
The total value of the transaction amounted to approximately PLN 7 million, of which approximately PLN 4 million was new capital.
Fresh Inset S.A.
KWKR provided comprehensive legal services for Radix Ventures’ investment in Fresh Inset S.A., the creator of the pioneering Vidre+ technology, which extends the freshness of fruit, vegetables and flowers.
The Radix Ventures Fund investment closed another round of financing for Fresh Inset S.A. with a total value of PLN 18 million, of which the fund’s share amounted to approximately EUR 1.5 million (approximately PLN 6 million).
The scope of KWKR’s work included:
- preparing and conducting a full due diligence process,
- drafting and negotiating a new investment agreement and shareholders’ agreement with the parties,
- securing the client’s key interests in the round structure.
This was yet another investment by Radix Ventures Fund carried out with the participation of KWKR.
Significance of the award
KWKR’s inclusion in PitchBook Global League Tables 2025 reflects the firm’s activity in the CEE region in the area of VC and technology transactions and confirms the dynamic development of KWKR’s transaction practice.
