Specializations
Dariusz Krzak specialises in new technology law and intellectual property law, with a particular focus on copyright law. His areas of expertise also include business and commercial law.
Experience
He gained his experience at renowned law firms providing legal services to businesses, particularly in the areas of new technology law and intellectual property law. He has advised clients in the technology, esports and gaming, e-commerce and digital marketing (including influencer marketing) sectors, as well as entities in the internet services sector.
Dariusz has experience in advising businesses on matters relating to new technology law (including digital services, advertising and marketing, cybersecurity, and regulations concerning artificial intelligence), intellectual property law (in particular copyright law, trade mark law and the prevention of unfair competition), civil law (including the protection of personal rights) and commercial and business law. In this regard, he has been involved in drafting and negotiating contracts, preparing transaction documentation, drafting terms and conditions for online platforms and for competitions and events, conducting due diligence audits of technology companies (including in the area of intellectual property law), developing intellectual property management strategies, and providing ongoing corporate advisory services.
He has participated in national and international conferences and training courses on new technology law and intellectual property law.
At the firm, he is part of the TMT team.
Education
Legal adviser registered with the Regional Chamber of Legal Advisers in Kraków.
Dariusz Krzak graduated with distinction with a Master’s degree in Law from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University, where he defended his Master’s thesis entitled ‘Parody in copyright law’ at the Department of Intellectual Property Law. In 2017, he was an Erasmus scholar at the University of Malta. He is also developing his expertise through postgraduate studies in “Law of New Technologies – Services for Business and the Public Sector” at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Łódź.
He is fluent in English.
